FELICIA Henry appeared on Monday before a city magistrate on a simple larceny charge.
It was alleged that on June 14, 2018 while being employed by Devindra Gangaram, the owner of Super Bet at 144 Regent Street as a clerk or servant, Henry stole $195,000 from her employer.

The 22-year old woman of ‘B’ Field, Sophia denied the charge and the prosecutor had no objections to bail which was granted in the sum of $100, 000.

According to the facts that were given in court by the police prosecutor, the defendant used to work at the store as a cashier. On the day in question, the virtual complainant and the defendant were checking off the daily sales when he observed that part of the money was missing. A report was made and the defendant was arrested.

The matter has been adjourned to July 9, 2018.
