GNBA issues three more radio licences

At a recent stakeholder engagement meeting, hosted by the Guyana National Broadcasting Authority (GNBA) last Friday, three broadcasters received licences for the first time.

The recipients are SKART TV Inc., HGPTV, and 21 Century Inc. In addition, the meeting, which included approved broadcasters and their station managers saw the issuing of licences to broadcasters from the year 2013 to 2017 by the GNBA.

The body has stated that the meetings are the first in a series which it hopes will help to foster interactive and harmonious working relationships between the GNBA and its stakeholders.

At the first function held at the Herdmanston Lodge, presentations were conducted on the guidelines for broadcasters as well as monitoring and compliance procedures after which the attendees were engaged in constructive discussions.
