Motorcycle bandits rob doctor

A 61-YEAR-OLD medical doctor of South Ruimveldt Gardens, Georgetown, was on Monday robbed of her valuables, shortly after she had made a withdrawal from a bank on Camp Street.

Reports stated that the bandits blocked the path of her car on Norton Street, Georgetown. The pillion rider dismounted, pointed a gun to her head and relieved her of her purse which contained her cell phone, $600,000, ID card, bank cards, passport and driver’s licence. They then rode away.

No shot was fired during the robbery. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
