AN 18-year-old man on Monday appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman for trafficking in narcotics

It was alleged that on April 20, 2018 at Stone Avenue, Campbellville, Travis Pinero had in his possession 38 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.

Pinero who resides at Bel Air, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to the charge
According to the police prosecutor, Pinero was walking alone when he was stopped by the police and they carried out a search of his person. A small ziploc bag with narcotics was reportedly found in his pants pocket, resulting in him being arrested and taken to the police station.

Bail was refused and Pinero was remanded to prison until May 7, when he will make his next court appearance.
