CAR enthusiasts and petrol heads alike will have a chance to meet and discuss possible projects with the ‘Storm’, a collaborative effort of several local car clubs and modification companies.

GTRidez, GT callouts, Inifinity Imports and Car Culture have teamed up to host a car show in the parking lot of the Giftland Mall VIP parking lot, this afternoon.

According to one member of the team up, GTRidez’s Rohindra Mahase, “Essentially it’s an exhibition which recognises cars that stand out in the automotive scene and to give car enthusiasts the opportunity to see these machines up close and also meet the owners.”
GT Callouts member Sean Charles continued, “[we thought about] getting the public to see cars they don’t usually get to see on a daily basis and get to meet the people who actually built these vehicles.”

“So far, we’ve been able to attract 11 cars and their owners, including the famous Team Mohamed’s Enterprise, Nissan GTR Nismo, as well as the Automotive Art Evolution of Stefan Jeffrey, and a few other surprise packages,” Mahase said..

While the idea is one that is relatively new to Guyana, it has been in the prenatal stages for some time, Charles added.“Well we, [myself, Rohindra and a few others], were in conversation for about five years now and never got around to it. I decided that it was the time to make the move. It actually started last year with the GT callouts brand doing meets but this is our first major collaboration.”

According to Charles, the Giftland Mall was the logical choice to host such an event, adding, “It’s location, it’s a high traffic area and that will maximise viewership for people who missed the advertising.”
Mahase said, “Initially we wanted to do the display inside the mall but the space is too limited.”

Admission to today’s event is free of cost to the public with special giveaways all evening. The event begins at 14:00 and goes until 21:00.
