– Sparta face Bent Street in final
THE top prize of the Corona Beer Futsal tournament sponsored by Namilco is up for grabs tonight when the final takes place at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
Longtime rivals Sparta Boss and Bent Street take the centre stage with the two renewing a rivalry dating back just over three years.
Sparta, as more often than not, has been considered winners especially considering their strong line-up in the past, but whether a number of their newer players are able to step up to the plate is left to be seen.
Their relaxed style of play may be something that many pundits don’t favour much, but it has gotten them to the finals so something must be working.
On the converse end, there is Bent Street. They will be eager to show their fans and those in attendance that they can cast the jinx plaguing them against their longtime rivals.
But they must be wary and not put themselves under too much pressure for tonight’s final; their natural game of attacking play has worked well for them thus far.
Both teams must also be wary of their opponents’ ability to counter attack and a fire cracker is expected when things get going from 23:00.
The third place play off is also billed for this evening with Leopold Street and Alpha Warriors.
