BANKS DIH Limited made financial donations to 27 organisations on Wednesday to the tune of $4.3 million during a presentation ceremony hosted at the company’s corporate head office at Thirst Park.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Andrew Carto, Human Resources Director said the presentation of the monetary donations (Deeds of Covenant) to charitable organisations has its origin in a decision taken some time ago by the Board of Directors of Banks DIH Limited.

“We see this not only as a part of our Corporate social responsibility but we also do this because of the exceedingly good relations that we have with the public and with organisations that work within the wider community in various forms of charitable work,” he added.

Mr. Carto disclosed that the Deeds of Covenant is just one aspect of the Company’s contributions to organisations, noting that there are other methods including financial support to sports organisations and other groups. He said the organisations can look forward to continued support in the future.

Mr. Carto was assisted by fellow directors Messrs. Michael Pereira and Mohamed Shabir Hussein, in making the presentations to the recipients.

Representatives expressed gratitude to the company for the financial assistance.
