Heroic Kissan Henry recognised for her bravery

The Guyana Police Force registered its proud recognition in the form of a simple presentation at Crime Chief , Paul William’s Office today to honour little Kissan Henry of New Amsterdam who saved herself and brother from a fire at their home earlier this week.

According to the police , seven year-old Kissan was presented with several items including a plaque and several  books on behalf of the Commissioner, Crime Chief and other members of the Force.

The Force has recognized her bravery, and brilliant thinking from a humanitarian standpoint at such a tender age.

The Crime Chief  arrived at the initiatives and partnered with the Mark Benchcop Foundation which will be honoring Kissan today with other key stakeholders.

The child’s mother went into hiding after the family’s  Lot 740 Glasgow, New Housing Scheme caught afire last Monday night . The authorities discovered that two under aged children were left unsupervised on Monday evening.

The woman has since been placed before the courts.
