A TEN-year-old boy is currently hospitalised after being accidentally shot in the abdomen by his 12-year-old friend while playing with a 12-gauge shotgun.

The incident reportedly occurred at around 16:00hrs at Taruka Village in the Monkey Mountain area on Thursday, February 1.

The injured child has been identified as John Issacs, a pupil of Monkey Mountain Primary School.

According to reports, the boys are good friends, and on the day in question, were playing with the shotgun, which belongs to a relative of the suspect.
The victim was rushed to the Monkey Mountain Medical Centre, and is reportedly in a stable condition.
