–with illegal arms, ammunition
ROUTINE patrols by ranks of the Joint Services in Central Rupununi commanded by an army Lieutenant have resulted in the recent arrest of three males, two of whom are Brazilians.
The men were arrested for unlawful possession of arms and ammunition. The 43-year-old Guyanese, of South Rupununi, was found in possession of eight ammunition components, while the Brazilians, aged 43 and 48, were found with a 28-gauge single-barrel Borta shotgun and five live cartridges.
Police said the men are all being processed for court in the coming days.
