LEO Heileman, Regional Director of the United Nations Environment Programme for Latin America and the Caribbean is currently in Guyana for a high-level mission to promote the ‘Green’ Economy, the Department of Environment said in a statement.

The event is slated for Friday January 26 at the Palm Spring Hotel in Bartica.”

Today the department will host the first meeting of the Inter-Agency and Multi Stakeholder Advisory Committee in the Ballet Room at Cara Lodge commencing at 08:30hrs. The objective of the meeting is to form the committee that will guide the formulation of the Green State Development Strategy.
