POLICE ranks of ‘F’ Division Wednesday morning arrested a maintenance worker of a mining company with a 9mm pistol with six live rounds at the Bartica Stelling.

The pistol, which is the property of the mining company, was found in his possession while he was not authorized to carry same.

Police have also detained another staff member who is authorised to use the company’s firearm.

He reportedly told investigators that he had given the weapon to his co-worker, a resident of Coconut Walk, Albouystown, to keep for a short while.
