THE description reported to have been made by the Leader of the Free World in describing immigrants from one CARICOM state and African nations is not only utterly outrageous and despicable, but has no place in today’s developed world.

The CARICOM nation referred to in the odious rant is soon to assume the Chair of the Caribbean Community. One wonders is this the price for the Region not collectively supporting this Free World country in the recent UN Jerusalem vote?

These remarks must be condemned and Guyana must lead the way in this regard the same way we did in the recent vote. We stand with our sister CARICOM nation and African nations and indeed with all nations in calling for international condemnation of this affront.
