THE third suspect in connection with the murder of 34-year-old Rawle Rodriguez, who was killed during a robbery at the Route 32 Minibus Park in January, was on Wednesday charged and remanded to prison.
Wayne Gilbert, who was recaptured after escaping from the Golden Grove/Diamond Police Station, appeared before Magistrate Leron Daly and was not required to plead to the indictable charge.

Particulars of the charge allege that on January 20, 2017 at Croal Street, Stabroek, he murdered Rodriguez during the course of a robbery.
The matter was adjourned until December 21 when it will be recalled before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
Afabia Yankana and Akeem Hayman are jointly charged with the murder of Rodrigues and is currently before Magistrate Judy Latchman where the Preliminary Inquiry into the matter is being conducted.

According to reports, on January 20th , Rodriguez was stabbed to his chest by three men during the robbery at the park. The men had allegedly trailed Rodriguez from the Demico Roof Garden where he was earlier seen consuming alcohol.
