KRISTIAN Jeffrey could not defend his shifter kart champion driver trophy from the invading foreigners as the Georgetown Grand Prix finale concluded on Saturday evening at GT Motorsport facility.

In the qualifying session, it was Colin Daley of Jamaica who shot to the top of the standings with Stefan Jeffrey alongside; the duo being the only men into the 30 second bracket for the class.
Daley posted a time of 30.916 with Stefan posting a 30.969 time, ahead of Canadian, Darrel Timmers 31.021, Kristian’s 31.254, Barbadian Orry Hunte’s 31.652 and Elliot Vieira’s 31.690.

And he continued that dominance into race one when he shot off the line and into the lead with Stefan, Timmers and Kristian all being relegated.

However, chain issues just over three quarters of the race would put the Jamaican out of commission, leaving the win to Stefan, with Timmers second and Kristian third.
Race two saw an improved Kristian and while he romped pound for pound with Daley, the duo’s race ended on the approach to the back stretch where they both went off.
Timmers took the win this time, ahead of Stefan and Hunte.
Race three belonged to Daley who finally got that elusive podium top step, this time winning ahead of Timmers and Vieira.

However, on the night, Timmers would pick up the champion driver’s trophy in that class, having outdone the competition.
In the 125CC senior class, the Jamaicans were unstoppable, winning all three of the engagements. Daley took the first ahead of Kristian and Jamaican, Jonathon Law.
Law, however, returned to take the other two ahead of Trinidad’s Kristian Boodoosingh, Jeffrey and Daley and Jeffrey, respectively.
Law took the Champion’s trophy.

In the Junior class, Rayden Persaud was the top dog on the night with two wins from three races. Tommi Gore of Jamaica won the first race of the night with Persaud taking the other two.

In the Easy Cup Rookie Fixture, Raymond Baksh ran rampant while in the Light class, the two wins on the night were shared between Raymond Seebarran and Dharmendra Dharmo.
In the sunburst 60cc Kids Cup, Nathan Rahaman took the champion driver trophy ahead of Jeremy Ten Pow who had two wins and a DNF on the night.
Nathan, sporting a new sponsor in Valvoline, picked up one win and two second placed finishes, which were enough to gift him the trophy.
