THE driver of a motorcar heading east along the Cove and John Public Road on Sunday afternoon, lost control and slammed into a utility pole, ripping it down before careening into a parked pick-up truck.

The driver, Anand Gildharie also known as “Sadam,” was said to be under the influence of alcohol and has since been taken into police custody. Luckily, no one was seriously injured.Below are scenes of the accident.
