Chief-of-Staff, Brigadier Patrick West, on Tuesday paid a visit to Private Brian Samuels, who was struck down by a motorcycle at a recent road block during “Operation Clean Sweep”.
Samuels was rushed to the Fort Wellington Hospital where he received initial treatment before being transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
While at the GPHC, Private Samuels was examined by doctors and an X-ray done which showed he sustained no serious injuries.
Samuels’ mother, who visited him, was contacted before he was discharged. He is now resting comfortably at the Medical Centre in Base Camp, Ayanganna.
Samuels is in good spirits and is anxiously awaiting his release from the Medical Centre to rejoin his colleagues on “Operation Clean Sweep.”
