THE executive and members of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) wishes to express its immense appreciation and satisfaction with the performance of Guyanese and West Indies Under-19 star, Bhaskar Yadram.
Yadram was among a 14-member West Indies youth team on the recently-concluded tour to South Africa, where the Caribbean side won the five-match series, 3-2.
Yardam, the talented all-rounder was fittingly named the Man-of-the-Series, and was the leading run scorer with 205 runs in five innings at an average of 41 and strike rate of 72.69. He made two fifties with a best of 81.
Yadram was one of only three West Indian players to score a fifty in the series, and the only one to do so twice.
He was also effective with the ball, claiming five wickets at an average of 22.60. He finished with an economy rate of 3.89 and a best of 3-37, which is the best bowling figures by a West Indian in the series.
According to the GCB, they are extremely proud of his indisputable talent and accomplishments and join the entire Guyana in wishing him well in his future exploits on the cricket field.
The GCB also congratulated the entire West Indies Under-19 team and its management for a great series win.
