A TWENTY-two-year-old resident of Independent Street, La Grange, West Bank Demerara was on Wednesday placed on $100,000 bail on a charge of fraud.
It is alleged that Mohammad Khan on June 26, 2017, in Georgetown, being entrusted by Steven Roger with $500,000 in order to deposit the money into Roger’s account, fraudulently converted the money to his own use and benefit.
The accused man who did not had a lawyer pleaded not guilty to the offence. Police Prosecutor, Simone Payne, did not object to bail and stated that the file is incomplete. The poultry farmer was placed on $100,000 bail and is expected to make his next court appearance on August 2, 2017.
