TWO men on Friday, found them themselves in the Magistrate Court after pressing charges against each other on a related incident.
It is alleged that on July 4, 2017, at Thomas Street Kitty, Georgetown, Sandro Roy Donner stole one bicycle valued $35,000 and a watch valued at $19,000, totaling $54,000, property of Mark Hubert.
According to the police, on July 4, 2017, at 06:00am Hubert left for work and proceeded to Thomas Street, Georgetown where he parked his bicycle as he waited for his work place to open. At 15:00hrs, Hubert returned for his bicycle, which at his surprise was missing. Hubert with the use of a surveillance camera that was in the vicinity where he parked his bicycle, discovered that it was Dooner who had stolen his bicycle. The footage was shown to the police and an investigation was carried out.
Donner pled guilty to the offence and was fined $40,000 by Magistrate Leron Daly. If Dooner fails to pay the fine he will spend the next six months in prison. It is also alleged that on July 5, 2017, Hubert assaulted Donner. Hubert pled not guilty to the offence and was placed on $20,000 bail. He is expected to return to court on July 14, 2017.
