PLEASE allow me a few words to highlight my frustration with the GGMC Manager of Mines, Ms. McDonald and her secretary, Jacqueline Jones.
It is very difficult to get access to this manager and then it is even more difficult to have her address simple issues or have them resolved. Simple issues that could be immediately resolved take weeks if not months. And when a miner has a dredge in the ‘bush’, every day it costs money to maintain that operation. So the time that she is wasting is literally costing miners money.

In my experience dealing with them both, I conclude that they do not wish to serve the public and I believe if that is the case, they should step aside and let other public servants take those positions.
We miners pay seven per cent royalty on every ounce of gold and that money not only supports the GGMC, but the entire Guyana. We need people at the GGMC who are willing to assist us and allow our business venture to be successful, instead of employees like Ms. McDonald and her secretary who are obstacles to miners’ progress.
