A forty-four- year- old miner /businessman of Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara was on Friday night arrested after police in Region One ( Barima-Waini) found on his person, two and a half dozens of live 9mm ammunition.

Police in a release said, acting on intelligence, about 21:00h, the lawmen went to the Port Kaituma waterfront where the suspect who goes by the alias “Soldier” was contacted and a search of his person revealed the ammunition.

He is being processed for court.
