‘I took the things because my salary too little’

A MAN pleaded guilty to a charge of simple larceny when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Magistrate Sunil Scarce ordered that a probation report be submitted to the court before sentencing.
William Hollingsworth plead guilty to the charge, which stated that between June 7 and 9 at China Harbour Engineering, Timehri, he stole two tubes and a fuel injector valued $2,472,192, property of Yong Xlin Chen. Hollingsworth, who is a machinist at the company, told the court that he took the items mentioned in the charge because his salary was too little. The matter was adjourned until June 30 for report.
