WORLD’S fastest man Usain Bolt remains the 23rd highest paid athlete in the world, according to the 2017 Forbes World’s Highest-Paid Athletes list.
The Jamaican sprint superstar, who is expected to retire from the sport of track and field later this year, weighs in with a total of US$34.2M.
The majority of the runner’s earning continues to come from endorsement deals, a total of US$32M, while US$2.2M comes from salaries. The athlete’s major endorsement deals include Puma, Gatorade, Hublot and Virgin media.
The sprinter, however, also has other minor deals with All Nippon Airways and Australian telecom company Optus. He inked a deal with Enertor to be the face of the upstart sports insole brand.
Bolt has also recently joined comic star Kevin Hart to endorse online poker cardroom PokerStars. As another part of his new business ventures Bolt also launched a new shaving company, Champion Shave.
Headquartered in the US, the brand produces six-blade razors aimed at the budget market. Champion Shave’s Starter Kit costs US$9.99 and includes a handle and four replacement blades.
