AN ELECTRICAL technician attached to the Guyana Power & Light Inc (GPL) was released on $75,000 bail for allegedly stealing from a woman’s Republic Bank Account.
Gavin Kelvin, 32, of Melanie, East Coast Demerara, pleaded not guilty to the charge of simple larceny, which alleged that between February 6 and May 17, 2017 at Republic Bank, Georgetown he stole US$3,500 from the account of Winnet Mingo
His attorney, Senior Counsel Bernard De Santos told the court that his client has been very cooperative with police investigation and is a first time offender. With no objections raised by Police Prosecutor, Simone Payne, Magistrate Azore released Kelvin on $75,000 bail and adjourned the matter to June 14, 2017.
