THE Guyana Oil Company Limited (Guyoil) has installed road safety signs in front 11 schools on the Essequibo Coast as it continues to honour its corporate responsibility to the people there.
The signs were handed over at a simple ceremony at Anna Regina School by ‘G’ Division Commander Stephen Mansel.
Guyoil Sales and Marketing Manager Eric Whaul, said the good gesture is one of many social initiatives the company has responded to with enthusiasm and was part of its 40th anniversary celebrations.
The schools on the Essequibo Coast that benefited from the signs are Anna Regina Primary, Sparta Primary, Cotton Field Secondary, Abram Zuil Secondary, J/Cecelia Secondary, Suddie Primary, Pomona Secondary, Charity Secondary, Charity Primary, 8th of May Secondary and Fisher Primary.
Guyoil is Guyana’s premier provider of petroleum products at the lowest prices countrywide. The company’s service stations can be found in Demerara, Essequibo and Berbice.
Guyoil serves as the country’s lowest-cost provider of petroleum products in all three counties.
The company says it takes its corporate social responsibilities very seriously and supports many events aimed at promoting various sectors of the economy including tourism, education and sport.
