DELHI Daredevils secured only their third Indian Premier League win of the season to haul themselves off the foot of the table.
Yuvraj Singh’s fireworks were in vain as Delhi Daredevils defied the odds to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets in the Indian Premier League yesterday.
Sunrisers were favourites to secure a victory which would have moved them a step closer to the play-offs, but struggling Delhi pulled off a magnificent run chase at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground to move off the bottom of the table.

The Daredevils had only won two of their first eight matches in the tournament and looked unlikely to add a third when Yuvraj blasted 70 not out, off only 41 balls to get Sunrisers up to an imposing 185-3.
India all-rounder Yuvraj was at his brutal best after he was dropped by Sanju Samson on 29, but Corey Anderson top-scored with an unbeaten 41 from only 24 balls as Delhi got home with five balls to spare.

David Warner threatened to cut loose again after making a sublime century against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, but the Sunrisers captain lost his off stump to a superb yorker from Mohammed Shami after making a brisk 30.
Shikhar Dhawan also got a start, but failed to go on and Kane Williamson was scoring at a run a ball before Shami (2-36) got rid of the New Zealand skipper.

Yuvraj should have been on his way when he hooked Chris Morris to Samson at deep square leg, but the opening batsman failed to hold on to a routine catch.
The powerful Yuvraj took advantage of that life, hitting a six and 11 fours in a brilliant knock, with Kasigo Rabada going for 59 from his four overs. Moises Henriques added a quick-fire 25 after coming in at number five.
Samson set about trying to make amends with the bat, hitting his first ball from Mohammed Siraj for six and stand-in captain Karun Nair also flexed his muscles with a couple of sixes as Delhi made a strong start.

Siraj saw the back of Samson and Nair was gone for 39 from 20 balls after he was dropped by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, but Delhi continued to build thanks to contributions from Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer.
Iyer gave Yuvraj a dose of his medicine by hitting him for back-to-back sixes and the dangerous Anderson was there at the end after hitting three sixes to get Delhi over the line.
