CHASE Academy student and 2016 Junior Sportsman-of-the-Year Kaysan Ninvalle, yesterday signed a two-year sponsorship deal with Colours Boutique, one of Guyana’s leading sports and goods outlets.
The 11-year-old table tennis star rose to prominence last year during his excellent showing at several regional and local tournaments.
He is said to be the youngest athlete to be crowned Junior Sportsman-of-the-Year.
Ninvalle thanked the entity for supporting his passion for the sport, while noting that his coach Linden Johnson was instrumental in his success, having only started playing the game at age five.
Colours Sales Representative, Creanna Damon, disclosed that as the country’s leading footwear and fashion outlet, it was a natural progression to join forces with the Caribbean’s leading young table tennis player.
Damon stated that over the next two years Colours will take care of the 11-year-old Chase Academy student’s training footwear and other table tennis attire.
Colours will also assist with overseas travelling for the Caribbean championship.
Meanwhile, Chase Academy principal Henry Chase, who afforded Ninvalle a full scholarship at his school, spoke of how proud he is to see the young table tennis stalwart being honoured in the most appropriate way. He hopes other entities would emulate Colours Boutique.
