Rt’d Major Mc Naughton, Toshao of Cashew Island in the New River Triangle area was on hand recently to witness the hoisting of the Golden Arrowhead by a Guyana Defence Force soldier at the community’s primary school. In attendance were students and teachers of the village. The Amerindian Captain has reintroduced routine flag-raising in the community as part of imbuing in residents a spirit of national pride.
