Milo Schools football : Defending champions Chase Academy set semi-final date with Sir Leon Lessons

A 7 – 0 win over Pure Masters solidified defending Milo Schools football champions Chase Academy place in the finals of this year’s competition, when they will play against Sir Leon Lessons on Wednesday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

It was a one-sided contest between the two sides, as the two-time defending champs, despite battling for 24 minutes before finding the net, raced to a 4 – 0 score-line at the interval.

A header from Reshawn Ritch got things on the way for the ‘champs’ while senior national Job Caesar made it 2 – 0 before Nicholas McArthur’s 30th minute goal made it 3 – 0 for Chase.

National U-17 skipper Jeremy Garrett scored Chase’s final goal before half time, as the writing began to show on the wall for Pure Masters.

Malachi Adonis netted in the 67th minute to make it 5 – 0, while Ryan Hackett scored a brace in the 70th and 90th minute to secure a dominant win for Chase.

Sir Leon Lessons grabbed a 2 – 1 win over Buxton Youth Developers with goals from Calvin Peters and Akeem Giddings (45th and 67th minutes respectively),to book their semi-final berth and a mouth-watering clash against Chase Academy.

Ablamy Robertson (29th) scored the Buxton side’s lone goal.
The semifinal round will be on Wednesday at the same venue, with Morgan Learning Center battling at 16:00hrs and Sir Leon Lessons opposing Chase Academy at 18:00hrs.

The winner of the tournament will receive $500,000,which will go towards a school project,and the championship trophy while the second, third and fourth placed sides will pocket $300,000,$200,000 and $100,000 respectively towards a school initiative,and a trophy.
