STAR Party Rentals has signed on to the ongoing Petra-organised Fustal championship, being played at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.
During a presentation yesterday at its Campbellville office, Representative Pheona Jones handed over a cheque to cover the prizes for the Most Valuable Player, Highest Goalscorer and Best Goalkeeper.
Co-director of the Petra organisation, Troy Mendonca, contended that the gesture comes at an opportune time for the tournament as they get ready to continue round-robin style play.
“We would like to take this opportunity to applaud Mr Lennox Cush and his company Star Party Rentals for his continued support to the sporting fraternity and again his social responsibility. We know for sure that this contribution will go a long way,” the Petra co-Director added.
Mendonca said, “We also want to take this opportunity to applaud the communities for organising themselves in such a good manner and displaying the kind of discipline that any sporting organisation would demonstrate.”
He noted that the tournament has brought out the grassroots people in the communities including some of the youths, who are engaging in competition, and that’s what the organisation is about.
