Digicel rewards customers in 10th Anniversary celebrations

Digicel Guyana on Tuesday,at its Kingston headquarters,rewarded 10 longstanding customers with cell phones, and 10 of their social media fans with their wishes in their “Name Your Wish” promotion.

Gifts for winners of the “Name Your Wish” promotions ranged from a laptop and washing machine to a “staycation”, and smart tv, while the most memorable of them all was a 53’ teddy bear.

The “Name Your Wish” was promoted exclusively on the Digicel’s Facebook page where fans had to download the application form, write their wish and submit pictures of them displaying their wish. Thousands entered, but only the lucky 10 made it.
The 10 loyal customers were selected by Digicel, based on persons who would have been a customer with the company from its inception in 2007.

Yesterday’s activities culminated Digicel’s 10th Anniversary celebrations that have been going on since the starting of the month beginning with donations to ten charities that catered to the needs of the differently-abled. Digicel began operations here on February 14, 2007.

Meanwhile, Digicel Marketing Manager, Jacqueline James, says the journey has been “phenomenal”.
“Oh Lord it’s phenomenal, it’s great, it’s wonderful. I’ve been here since the first day, so it’s great to be here at ten [years later]. We’ve been here since 2007 and every year has been great, and this year it’s been even greater.” James said at yesterday’s presentation ceremony.

Aside from yesterday’s presentation, Digicel also held its annual anniversary sale which went on last Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, and saw customers flocking to selected Digicel locations as late as 3am.Customers were treated to gifts and slices of Digicel’s delicious anniversary cake.
In another across-the-board promotion,customers got 10 free minutes for every one minute that they talked on a call yesterday, the free minutes were valid for talk from 8pm last night to 6am this morning.
