Three armed bandits on Monday, robbed a mechanic of Hampshire Village, Corentyne, just after he had secured his place following his daughter’s birthday party.
At approximately 1:10 am Monday 6 , February, Devindon Reddi, 30, of Hampshire Village , Corentyne, East Berbice, was attacked by three men who were armed with handguns. The men concealed their identity with the use of handkerchiefs across their faces.
This newspaper was told that the men pointed a gun at Reddi and demanded cash and valuables. The mechanic fearing for his life and the safety of his family complied and handed over a gold chain valued at $100,000 and $15,000 cash. They immediately made their escape by scaling the front fence of Reddi’s home. Meanwhile, Divisional Commander, Ian Amsterdam, said no one was arrested; however investigation into the matter is ongoing.
