A TWENTY-nine-year old farmer and his 18-year-old reputed wife were arrested Friday evening by ranks of the Guyana Police Force following the discovery of cannabis at their home.

According to a police report, ranks conducted a search at the couple’s Moco-Moco Village home in Lethem and found three kilograms of cannabis. It was noted that the police acted on information that illegal activities were being conducted at the premises. Police swooped down on the couple at approximately 18:30hrs and found the illegal substance hidden in a salt bag.
The man and wife are expected to be charged shortly.
