Region Five budget will bring great benefits to residents

Dear Editor,
THE Regional Democratic Council (Mahaica/Berbice), 2017 budget will provide positive long-tern impact and behavioural change for the people of Region Five. The region’s budget has a wide spread of projects across the region that will create positive outcomes when implemented. I wish to highlight one the major projects that will benefit the people of Region Five in 2017.

Construction of a nursery school at Perth Village: Presently, Pert Nursery School is operating out of the Pert Community Hall for a number of years. The environment is not suited for learning and therefore the construction of a school building is important to the students’ education.

With their own building the teachers will be more comfortable to provide better teaching practice to our pupils. The community will also grow socially and educationally.

Good buildings, better schools and economic stimulus opportunities will have long-term benefits for the communities in Region Five.

Regards

Govind Singh
Deputy Regional Executive Officer
Mahaica/Berbice
