THE Jamaica Scorpions’ win over the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force at Sabina Park last Saturday has propelled them from fifth to the top of the table following the conclusion of the fourth round of matches of the Digicel Four-Day Regional Cricket Competition on Monday.
Following their 132-run win over the Red Force, the Nikita Miller-led Scorpions now have 46.8 points. The win was a nice boost for the Jamaicans whose batsmen have been struggling for form so far this season but depended on the bowling of their captain to secure victory.

Nikita Miller took 12 wickets in the match and 9 for 41 in the second innings to become the first bowler in the regional four-day competition to take 400 first-class wickets.
The Scorpions cannot afford to rest on their laurels after notching their second win of the competition, because the Guyana Jaguars are not far behind following their draw with the Barbados Pride at the Guyana National Stadium. The Jaguars have 44 points. Two of their matches have been incomplete.

The Barbados Pride are next with 43.2 points.
Meanwhile, the Leewards Hurricanes have 36.6 points after their 94-run win over the Windwards Volcanoes at Windsor Park in Dominica. The Volcanoes lie fifth with 35.2 points.
The Red Force are currently at the bottom of the table with 32.4 points after their loss to the Scorpions.

The next round of matches begin on December 15 when the Hurricanes host the Scorpions at Warner Park.
Elsewhere, the Red Force travel to Guyana where they will face the Jaguars at the Guyana National Stadium on December 16. The Pride meantime, will take on the Volcanoes at Kensington Oval.
