Suspected sheep thief died from shock, haemorrhage

EX-COP and suspected sheep thief, Romel Hoppie died as a result of shock and haemorrhage due to gunshot injuries sustained during a shootout with police at Mount Sinai last Tuesday

The cause of death was revealed following a post-mortem examination conducted by Government pathologist, Dr Vivikanand Brijmohan at the New Amsterdam Hospital Mortuary.

Hoppie was identified by his mother whose identification card revealed her name to be Monica Hoppie and not Monica Marks as she had told investigators.
