GTA Director Indranauth Haralsingh at the Launch of Guyana Restaurant Week

GUYANA Restaurant Week (GRW), being observed from November 18 to 27, has kicked off with 15 ‘top of the line’ restaurants competing to bring Guyanese the best in cuisine.Participating restaurants promise to offer the best in taste, quality and service, so consumers can treasure the experience of fine-dining with family members or friends, as they savour the flavour of high-quality cuisine served in exotic ambience and at unbelievable prices. The special Guyana Restaurant Week lunch menu is available at $2,000, or dinner menu from $4,000.

Restaurant Week is one of the signature events of Tourism Awareness Month, celebrated in November.

Speaking at its recent launch, Director of the Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA), Indranauth Haralsingh, urged Guyanese and visitors alike to support the event.
“It’s a culinary celebration of the best restaurants in Guyana. During this 10-day extravaganza, participating restaurants offer an exclusive menu at a significantly reduced price. Restaurant Week gives visitors and local foodies an opportunity to enjoy specialty prix fixe menus from skilled local chefs. Come along and enjoy!” Haralsingh urged.

The restaurants participating in Guyana Restaurant Week are Grand Coastal Hotel at La Ressouvenir, East Coast Demerara; Maharaja Palace Restaurant on Sheriff Street, Campbellville; Java Coffee Bar and Bistro at the Guyana Marriott Hotel, Battery Road, Kingston Georgetown; The Coffee Shop; Publik Wing and Burger House on Duncan Street, Campbellville; Xie Xie Restaurant and Bar; New Thriving Restaurant and Bar, Main Street, Georgetown; Cara Lodge Hotel; Roraima Duke Lodge; Windjammer Hotel at Queen Street, Kitty; Antonio’s Grille at Herdmanston Lodge; Aagman Indian Restaurant; and Pegasus Hotel at Sea Wall Road, Kingston.
