MINISTER of State Joseph Harmon says he is unaware of plans for ministers of the government to meet with members of the public at the headquarters of the PNCR at Congress Place, Sophia, from Friday November 4.The minister, who is a member of that party, was at the time responding to questions posed at a post- Cabinet press briefing hosted by him on Friday.
“There was no discussion at Cabinet about a statement put out by [a] political party about ministers going to meet with the public, so I am not aware of it at this point in time, but I am sure we are going to examine it.”
“I deal with government and I would ask that you address those party matters to the political parties who made those statements,” Harmon stated.
Minister Harmon assured the media that “as a government we never discussed that at Cabinet.”
It was Harmon’s press officer Malika Ramsey who posted on Facebook that a minister of the Government will be at Congress Place, starting with Harmon, on Friday November 4, to meet with citizens.
It was stated that a minister would be at Congress Place every Friday between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm to address issues and matters of concern to the people.
Those already scheduled were Dr George Norton, Dr Karen Cummings, Volda Lawrence, Winston Jordan, Amna Ally, Ronald Bulkan, Carl Greenidge, Basil Williams, Joseph Harmon, Winston Felix, Valerie Patterson and Annette Ferguson will be participating in the meet-the- public activity.
