OTIS Ptolemy Halley of Norton Street, Geogetown was on Thursday sentenced to four years imprisonment for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.The sentence was handed down by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court. Halley was also fined $ 5.7 million.
It was alleged that he had in his possession three kilograms, 832 grams of cannabis on June 22, 2016 at his Norton Street home.
The magistrate in her ruling stated that the prosecutor’s witnesses who testified were consistent with evidence they presented before the court and it was crystal clear against the defendant.
