Security guard on bail for allegedly damaging car

A RESIDENT of Norton Street, Georgetown was granted $30,000 bail after he was charged with damaging private property.Thirty-nine-year-old Neville Haynes appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on September 30, 2016 at North East La Penitence, Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously damaged motor car PVV 3625, property of Otis Khan also known as ‘Clive’.

Police Prosecutor Deniro Jones did not object to bail, however he asked that the defendant be placed on a substantial amount of bail. Jones added that the defendant has a previous conviction after he was found guilty of wounding.

Haynes, who is attached to the Pritipaul Singh Investment Inc. as a security guard is expected to return to court on October 17, 2016 for statements.
