THE Cemetery Road and Norton Street junction, Georgetown, was the scene of yet another accident Sunday afternoon. Two persons suffered minor injuries in the collision.
The driver of motorcar PSS 5234 said he was travelling east on Norton Street when motorcar PJJ5434 jumped the intersection resulting in the collision.
The driver in the other vehicle was in a state of shock and could not give a comment.
Residents in the area were not surprised at the accident, as they related that the junction has been the site of hundreds of accidents in the area.
“The police need to place speed humps on the Cemetery Road junction to ensure people know they have to slow down, in fact, they should put those at all junctions which don’t have the right of way,” said one resident.
