–Mrs Nagamootoo urges pupils of Selman Fraser, Bel Air nursery schools

IN OBSERVANCE of International Literacy Day, wife of the Prime Minister Sita Nagamootoo on Thursday distributed educational materials and teaching aid to the Selman Fraser Nursery School in Albouystown and the Bel Air Nursery School.The items handed out were colouring books, crayons and rags. Supplies were also given to teachers.

Mrs Nagamootoo also used the opportunity to interact with pupils and teachers of the two schools. She urged the children to love education and stay in school.

She described her visits as enlightening and said she looks forward to visit several other schools, including Waterloo Nursery, West Coast Berbice and Auchlyne Primary, Corentyne, Berbice on Friday.
