ACTING Crime Chief Hugh Jessemy on Saturday disclosed that following the execution-style killing of Mark Anthony, called “QQ,” sleuths are looking for a person of interest.He explained that they have received information which will aid in the probe and he is optimistic that they will soon arrest the suspect.
Jessemy related that they have received tips from members of the general public and they are working to piece the information together.
On Thursday night the 22-year-old of Lot 1238 Canje Pheasant Lane, South Ruimveldt Park, Georgetown, was riddled with bullets while liming with friends at a “shortcut” in North Ruimveldt.
Police sources said it was about 20:00 hrs that a tinted vehicle pulled up at the location and two men exited and opened fire at Anthony.
He was shot in the abdomen, chest and back and succumbed to gunshot injuries while receiving medical attention at the GPHC.
Relatives are clueless as to the motive for his murder, but police said Anthony is known to them.
