TEAM Guyana for Round three of the Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) 2016 in Barbados yesterday loaded their vehicles for the three-week voyage.

The five-member team includes three riders in Matthew, Stephen and Elliot Vieira.
The battle will be between Stephen and Matthew Vieira with 122 points and the latter on 105 points, as they head to the Land of the Flying Fish to rekindle their tussle.
However, Elliot Vieira will be no pushover in this regard as he is still the defending champion but will have a lot of work to do to catch his cousins, as he is only on 45 points and positioned in fourth
Third place in the class is currently being held by Robert McDonald of Jamaica.
Meanwhile, the drivers for Round three include Group three competitor Nazim Gafoor as well as his Group two counterpart Shan Seejattan, who recently returned from Round two in Trinidad.
At the Group three end of things, Gafoor has a lot of ground to make up in the championship as he currently lies sixth with 42 points.
He trails the Cayman islands’ Gary Barret (42 points) as well as Barbadian Steve King (50 points), Jamaica’s Alan Chen (63 points), Guyana’s Danny Persaud (66 points) and current leader and defending champion, Trinidad’s Paul Vieira (125 points).
After Group two, Seejattan (54 points) sits in fourth, ahead of defending champion Marc Gill of Trinidad (50 points). Ahead of him lies Jamaica’s Sabastien Rae (55 points and the Trinidadian duo of Mark Williams (75 points) and Luke Bhola (93 points).
In Group four, both for the four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive, Guyana have opted out, with Jamaicans Doug Gore, Kyle Greg and Trinidadian Kristian Boodoosingh rounding out the top three of the earlier.
On the two-wheel end of things, Barbadian Mark Maloney leads with 118 points while Peter Rae of Jamaica has 108 and Trinidad’s Franklyn Boodram has 102 points.
Round three is set for September 3-4.
