Guyana Boys beat Jamaica 3-2

 

THE Guyana Boys’ team landed a 3-2 win against Jamaica, yesterday, as they began the defence of their title at the ongoing Caribbean Junior Squash Championships currently being held at the South Sound Squash Center in the Cayman Islands.The boys got off to a good start as Boys’ Under-13 champion Shomari Wiltshire opened with a win against Tobias Levy. Next up, Alec Melville took down Tahjia Lumley for 3-1.
Benjamin Mekdeci won his match against Stephan Morrison before Daniel Islam yielded to Sebastian Levy and Alex Cheeks lost to Jonathan Walker.
Meanwhile, as the Girls team took on their second match against the Cayman Islands Girls, Girls’ Under-19 Caribbean champion Larissa Wiltshire won her match.
The Guyana girls were up 3-1 up to last evening as matches continued.
