THE final warm-up match between India and WICB President’s XI at St Kitts ended in a draw, yesterday. WICB President’s XI finished at 223 for 6 and had secured a slender lead before both captains shook hands and called it a day. Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin finished was India’s best bowler with six wickets to his name in the match, while Jermaine Blackwood with 51top-scored for the hosts in the second innings
The other bowlers too had a good outing but India could not force a result despite being in a good position. The action now shifts to Antigua, where India will take on West Indies in the first of four Tests on July 21.
