GRADUATING students of the Dharmic Rama Krishna Nursery and Primary Schools were on Friday urged to “dream big and have great aspirations” as they progress to a higher level in their academic life.Charging the young minds with the task of forging ahead was President of the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha, Dr Vindhya Persaud, who underscored that education is the key to success.

Dr Persaud declared that the 28 primary and 27 nursery graduates will take a step into a new atmosphere and grade, where they will be introduced to a new line of teaching.
However, the foundation of knowledge they acquired from the institution must not be forgotten, she said, given that what they learnt will be useful to guide them through the initial stages of their new school lives.
Dharmic Rama Krishna Primary produced Aryan Persaud, one of the top students at the National Grade Six Assessment (NAGA). He scored 568 marks at the examination. Arun Sooknarine, also of Dharmic Rama Krishna gained 562 marks and was placed fifth in the country.
Their outstanding performances at the 2016 NGSA have placed the school on the national map, said the Dharmic Sabha President.
Aside from Persaud and Sooknarine, several other pupils secured impressive grades at this year’s examination and will be heading to some of the top schools in the country.

The students who will be writing the NGSA next year were encouraged to use the success of the outstanding students as motivation and strive to emulate or perform better when their time at the examination comes.
A number of trophies and awards were distributed to the top performers.
Meanwhile, the Dharmic Sabha has acquired a plot of land and will be using it to build a secondary school.
But as it stands now, the Sabha does not have the finances to start the project, and as such, has appealed to parents to contribute to this worthy cause.
