Police are investigating the discovery of an illegal weapon which they found on Cemetery Road.

According to a police report, at about 21:00 hrs on June 22, police ranks in ‘A’ Division were on patrol duty on Cemetery Road, Georgetown, when they saw a man dropped a bag and ran away.

A search was carried out in the bag and a .32 pistol was found. Investigations are ongoing.
