“For me, Guyana is full of beauty. I wanted my pieces to show where I come from; my cultural background; and basically the good parts of being Guyanese.
“This line gives birth to our lost culture of traditional tie-dying by adding a modern twist to it.
“There’s a great deal of Guyanese cultural heritage embedded in the designs. I use craft techniques such as tie-dying, which I’ve adapted in a more contemporary way, so I can bring it into everyday outfits…
